Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues its box office rampage even in its third week with far better collections than this week’s global release Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Dhurandhar is now heading towards the super-exclusive Rs. 600 crore club.

 

Said trade guru Taran Adarsh, “Dhurandhar is on the verge of yet another historic milestone. The film has already amassed close to Rs. 580 crores by the end of third Sunday. Given the current trends, the Rs. 600 crore mark is expected to be breached on Monday: a phenomenal achievement by any yardstick. Once it enters the Rs. 600 crores club, the film will begin its march towards the Rs. 700 crores club. The extended holiday period — including Christmas and New Year — should comfortably propel the film to this landmark. In fact, going by its extraordinary hold and audience demand, Dhurandhar could even challenge the Rs. 800 crores record of Pushpa 2 in Hindi.”

 

Added producer and trade analyst Girish Johar, “The way Dhurandhar is going at the box office, it's simply berserk. It is creating records each passing day, now in its third week, it's a wild Tsunami. Breaching past Rs. 600 crores nett domestic market is almost a given certain.”

 

One of Dhurandhar’s lead actors R Madhavan said that nobody in the film is counting the profits. “You think director Aditya Dhar is bothered by how much money Dhurandhar makes? We are all looking in awe at the milestones the film covers in the coming months. 600, 700, 800… I won’t be surprised if it goes to the Rs. 1000 crores mark.”
