Deepika Padukone reacts to a meme calling her and Ranveer Singh's Diwali look as 'motichoor ladoo' & 'gajar ka halwa'
This Diwali festival was low-key but the celebrations were grand. Celebrities posted pictures of themselves enjoying the day at home with their loved ones. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh posted a picture on Diwali sharing a laugh.
Ranveer was dressed in an orange kurta whereas Deepika Padukone opted for a red printed saree. "Aap sab ko Diwali ki hardik shubhkamnayein. Happy Diwali! Love & Light to all! @deepikapadukone,” Ranveer wrote.
A meme went viral on social media where someone compared them to Indian sweets. The first image was captioned, “Motichoor ladoo and Gajar ka Halwa in pictures." The photo of Ranveer and Deepika was captioned as , “Motichoor ladoo and Gajar ka Halwa in real life." Sharing the meme on her Instagram stories, Deepika said, “Sure...Why not!? @ranveersingh.”
On the same day, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone completed two years since they tied the knot in a grand ceremony in Italy. Marking this special day on Diwali, the actor shared two loved-up photos with his wife Deepika Padukone. She shared two photos and captioned them, "Two peas in a pod...❤️ Happy 2nd Anniversary @ranveersingh .You complete me..."
Meanwhile, on the work front, the couple will be starring as Kapil Dev and Romi Dev in the upcoming movie 83. The film narrates the 1983 India World Cup win. It is helmed by Kabir Khan. While Deepika has completed one schedule for Shakun Batra's next, Ranveer Singh will next star in Rohit Shetty's Cirkus and Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
