Prakash Jha has finally commenced work on the sequel to his 2003 hit Gangaajal. While the first film featured Ajay Devgn and Gracy Singh, the sequel Gangaajal 2 will feature none other than Priyanka Chopra essaying the role of a tough cop.

In fact the makers of the film recently released an image of Priyanka Chopra as a cop from the look test of the film. Tweeting about it later, Prakash Jha posted, ".@priyankachopra 's LookTest#Gangaajajal2 gave me a bit of a scare! She looked like an underage TeenCop.. But only till the Camera Saw Her!!"

Elaborating on Priyanka's role of a superintendent of police Abha Mathur Prakash Jha mentioned that her character, Abha a sincere police office is posted to a fictitious district called Bankipur in northern India. While her colleagues and top notch police officials paint a rosy picture of Bankipur terming it as a golden posting, Abha soon realizes that the town is filled with crime. From her own corrupt officials, to the tearing gazes of media hovering overhead, to human right activists, Abha decides to combat with the society alone and fight the menace of this deep rooted nexus of crime and politics in Bankipur.

While Prakash Jha will be starting the shoot of the film soon, Gangaajal 2 will be shot extensively in Bhopal and is looking for a release by the end of this year.
