Cannes 2022: Bade Achhe Lagte Hain fame Reena Agarwal aka Vedika starrer film goes to the French Riviera film festival

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 actress Reena Agarwal has been having a great year. Her film Alpha Beta Gamma has been chosen to be screened at Cannes. However, the television actress was not able to attend the festival owing to prior daily soap commitments.

However, a source close to the actress had a completely different story to tell. According to them, the actress was not informed about her film going to Cannes at all. The source said, "The actress came to know about the team jetting off to the festival at the very last minute. Although she wished to be there and would have even managed to go if she was informed earlier about the same."

 

On the other hand, Reena Agarwal was extremely excited about the film. She said, “It is very important.. art isn’t always easy and nice.. it can be tricky at times and an artist goes through a lot of challenges to reach the finishing point. Sometimes you require a lot of support from other people and the right atmosphere to make something. When your work is seen and appreciated you feel you doing the right thing and it makes you feel that you’re accepted as a part of the community. You feel included and that’s the ultimate celebration!”

 

Adding how she came on board for the film, Reena conveyed, “Shankar, the director of the film had already finalised most of the cast and crew of the film. It was only the female lead that was left to be locked. When Shankar reached out and narrated the story to me I instantly felt that this film was written for me as some parts of the film resembled with my own real life. The story is about a woman who is separated from her husband and finally decides to move on with her new partner. And it was actually my husband who shared my number with Shankar. Story and script was so relatable and I knew I will do this role with all my heart.”

 

Alpha Beta Gamma is a 2021 rom-com directed by debutant Shankar Srikumar, starring Nishan Nanaiah, Amit Kumar Vashisth, and Reena Aggarwal. Written by Menka Sharma and Shankar, the film revolves around three lead characters, who get stuck in a flat due to the COVID-induced lockdown.
