“Mr India was probably the first film where Anil Kapoor at Sharjah Cricket Ground dressed up as Mr India to do the toss and sat in commentator’s box with Sunil Gavaskar,” Kapoor revealed. “This was not done before and it probably was the seed of entertainment and cricket merging that time.”

 

This captivating memory highlighted the early intersections between Bollywood and sports entertainment, a trend now ubiquitous but once rare.
