Bhumi Pednekar becomes the only Indian actor at WEF’s 20th Annual Young Global Leaders Summit

Bhumi Pednekar continues to make waves beyond the screen, gaining recognition as a change-maker on the global stage. As the only Indian actor currently part of the Young Global Leaders (YGL) community by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Bhumi attended the 20th annual YGL Summit in Singapore, where she emphasized the power of collective impact. While she took to social media to express her happiness on being the only Indian representing her country at an international stage, the actress also went on to share more about the experience.

The actress took to her Instagram story to share photos and also penned a note about attending the YGL Summit as she said, “Am so grateful to be a part of this community of likeminded people from such diverse backgrounds, from across the world with one common agenda to make impact while excelling in our respective fields. When I started my YFL journey I didn't realise it's going to be giving, potent and fulfilling. Every session, panel, networking circles, conversation and collaboration has left me inspired and motivated me to do more.”

 

 

“It’s all about coming together and creating impact through our individual endeavors,” she added. Reflecting further on her experience, Bhumi shared, “It’s been a wonderful experience putting forth my ideas on such a prestigious global platform, while also learning from the immensely successful and talented individuals who are part of the YGL community. It’s inspiring to see the kind of positive change we can create together.”

 

Bhumi’s influence extends beyond her critically acclaimed roles in cinema. She is a passionate advocate for sustainability and UNDP advocate, leading initiatives like her Climate Warrior campaign, which underscores her commitment to creating a more sustainable future.

 

On the entertainment front too, the actress has been juggling between films and web-series. She is gearing up for her long-format debut with Daldal in which she is essaying the role of a cop. The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. The actress is also expected to reunite with Arjun Kapoor for a film which is also expected to star Rakul Preet Singh.
