Badshah speaks about split with Honey Singh; calls him “self-centred” and adds he made him sign “blank contracts”

Rapper-singer Badshah recently opened up about his split with Honey Singh and the challenges he faced during that time. In an interview with Raj Shamani, Badshah said that he and Honey were initially very close and worked together on many projects. However, things started to change when Honey decided to pursue a solo career.

"We made songs but they were not released. Honey was just concentrating on his career," Badshah said. "I was associated with Mafia Mundeer since 2006, and by 2009, my parents were very worried about me. In 2011, my first song with Honey came out– ‘Get up Jawani’."

 

Badshah said that he felt like Honey was being "self-centred" and not considering the other members of Mafia Mundeer. He also said that Honey made them sign blank papers and that he never acknowledged their struggles. "He made us sign blank papers; what about those contracts? It was a tough phase," Badshah said.

 

The beef with Honey was a difficult time for Badshah, but he said that it ultimately made him a stronger person. He said that he learned to be more independent and to focus on his own career. "Those challenging five years transformed me," Badshah said. "I am grateful for those experiences because they made me who I am today."

 

In the interview, Badshah also spoke about his upcoming projects. He said that he is working on a new album and that he is also planning to release a few singles. He said that he is excited to share his new music with his fans.
