Apoorva Mehta calls Karan Johar his ‘brother’ in heartfelt birthday note: “It’s been the journey of a lifetime”
Filmmaker Karan Johar received a heartfelt birthday wish from his longtime friend and business partner Apoorva Mehta, who shared an emotional note celebrating their decades-long bond and journey together at Dharma Productions.
Taking to social media, Apoorva Mehta reflected on their personal and professional relationship, speaking about growing up together and building Dharma Productions into one of the most influential production houses in the Indian film industry. His note quickly caught the attention of fans and industry members, many of whom praised the duo’s enduring friendship and partnership.
In his birthday message for Karan Johar, Apoorva wrote, “They say you can’t choose your family, but in our case, I think we did. From growing up together to building everything Dharma stands for today, it’s been the journey of a lifetime. Watching your vision transform the industry has been an honour, but having you as my brother is the real privilege. Happy Birthday, Karan. Currently, Apoorva Mehta and Karan Johar are busy celebrating the release of Chand Mera Dil, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya. Backed by Dharma Productions, the film hit theatres on May 22 and has been drawing attention among moviegoers.
Apart from the film’s release, Karan Johar has also been making headlines internationally after marking his debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
