Anurag Kashyap goes nostalgic as he visits his alma mater Hansraj College to promote Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat

Anurag Kashyap is all set to present his take on modern day love in his upcoming film Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat, which stars Alaya F and Karan Mehta. As the film is about love, there are bound to be emotions. But before the film hits the screens, the filmmaker experienced a different set of emotions when he visited his alma mater Hansraj College in Delhi to promote the film.

As per a note shared by the makers, Anurag went nostalgic as he took a tour of his college. He visited the canteen and met the staff that was also present during his time. He also went in the library and hostel. When he entered his room, he revealed that he used to write screenplays on its walls. He also went down memory lane and shared how he and the entire hostel went to watch the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Deewana.

 

Sharing his experience, Anurag said in a statement, “Visiting Delhi and my college brought back a ton of memories. Remembering the good times and seeing the hockey ground give way to a basketball court made me a bit sad. Meeting Anthony who fed us rajma chawal when we had no money at the canteen, visiting my room at the hostel and the staff especially, meeting Durga made me nostalgic.”

 

Karan Mehta, who is a part of the film’s lead couple, also has some connection with Hansraj College. “It was a fantastic experience to walk down memory lane and hear such amusing stories from Anurag sir of his college days,” he said. “Coincidentally I played cricket on this college ground at the age of 10 and I have some fond memories of the same.”

 

Produced by Good Bad Films Production and presented by Zee Studios, Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat will be released in theatres on February 3.
