Animal: Rashmika Mandanna describes Geetanjali as ‘the only force at home holding her family together’ in her latest social media post

While Animal is making and breaking records at the box office, the film is also being heavily criticized by netizens and social media users as many have accused Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor of glorifying misogyny in the action entertainer. In fact, many have expressed their concerns about using actors like Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri in submissive female roles. However, amid all these speculations, Geetanjali aka Rashmika, who essays the role of Ranbir’s wife, has taken to social media and has penned a heartfelt note on her character in the film.

Many were unhappy about Ranbir Kapoor aka Ranvijay aka Animal cheating on his wife Geetanjali, played by Rashmika Mandanna in the film. Speaking about the inner strength of her character and describing her power, her importance in the family, among others, the actress penned an emotional note showcasing  her connect with the role she essayed, as she wrote, “Gitanjali ??????? If I were to describe her in a sentence …it would be the only force at home holding her family together. ? She is pure, real, unfiltered, strong and raw.. ?? At times as an actor, I would question some of Gitanjali’s actions.. And I remember my director telling me - this was their story.. Ranvijay’s & Gitanjali’s.. it was their love and passion, their families and their lives - this is who they are.. ??

 

She went on to add, “In a world full of all violence, hurt and unbearable pain - Gitanjali would bring peace trust and calm.. She would pray to her Gods to keep her husband and her kids safe.. She was the rock that weathered all the storms..?? She would do anything in her power for the sake of her family. Gitanjali is absolutely beautiful in my eyes, and in some ways she is like most women who are standing strong and protecting their families day in and day out..?? Happy one week to us #Animal team”.

 

She concluded the note by expressing gratitude towards her fans as she continued, “Guys. Thank you all for all the love.. it’s what keeps me going and makes me work harder with every film ???? Big hugs to you all too ??”
