Alia Bhatt BREAKS SILENCE on her absence from Dining With The Kapoors
The dishy documentary Dining With The Kapoors, which started streaming on Netflix from November 21, has one fatal flaw: it leaves out Alia Bhatt, who is as much a Kapoor bahu as Neetu Kapoor.
Neetu is prominently featured, so is the Kapoor damaad Saif Ali Khan. But not Alia! When approached the creator of the series Armaan Jain (who is Raj Kapoor’s sister’s son), he said that Alia had “work commitments” when Dining With The Kapoors was shot.
This excuse doesn’t cut ice. If a film celebrating the Kapoor legacy is being shot, Alia or any other Kapoor would ensure his or her presence.
This writer asked Alia Bhatt about her absence from the Kapoor documentary. She replied, “I was very unwell at the time… Well I am actually dining with the Kapoors in my life, so glad to have all those memories, with more to come.”
