Alaya F confirms she is starring alongside Kartik Aaryan in Freddy

Being jointly produced by Balaji Telefilms and Northern Lights Films, Freddy stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. It was already reported that Alaya F would be starring in Ekta Kapoor project but now she has confirmed her role. This marks Alaya’s second project with Ekta Kapoor.

On Saturday, the actor announced her landing on the project with picture of her, holding a clapboard, on her Instagram handle. She wrote in the caption, “Ready for Freddy! Sooooo happy to be on board with the most wonderful team!”

 

Her co-actor Kartik Aaryan and team welcomed her arrival with a cake that had “Welcome Alaya” written on it. Kartik shared a picture of Alaya cutting the cake, alongside writing “Welcome @alayaf From Freddy. Under which, Alaya commented “When did you decide to post this!!” To which Kartik replied, “Freddy loves to give surprises.”

 

 

 

 

Kartik has begun the shooting for romantic-thriller film, being helmed by Veere Di Wedding (starring Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor) director Shashanka Ghosh, who will be second time collaborating with producer Ekta Kapoor.

 

Talking about the Kartik had said that he, as an actor, wishes to explore different facets of entertainment. With Freddy, he’s venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures. He added that he look forward to dwelling in the world of Freddy and bring alive the dark romantic thriller. He also mentioned that it also marks his first collaboration with a visionary like Ekta Kapoor and creative forces like Jayu and Shashanka and couldn’t have asked for a better team on the new journey.

 

Freddy is a Hindi remake of a 2016 Kannada supernatural thriller, starred Shraddha Srinath in the lead role, written, directed and produced by Pawan Kumar, who had also helmed its Telugu-Tamil remake starring Samantha Akkineni. Freddy marks Alaya F’s second film with Ekta Kapoor after the upcoming U Turn remake for which the actor began shooting in July.
