BO update: Independence Day 2 opens on a decent note

 

This week we see multiple films hitting screens with RAMAN RAGHAV 2.0, 7 HOURS TO GO, JUNOONIYAT, A SCANDALL, DIL TOH DEEWANA HAI and the Hollywood biggie INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE releasing. Though the audience will have multiple choices to choose from, which one of these will manage to entice the junta and eventually emerge as the leader is the question of the hour.BO update: Independence Day 2 opens on a decent note

 

Reports coming in state that, the cluttered release has severely affected the films with occupancy rates during morning shows being at an all-time low. However, the Hollywood release INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE that sees a release across English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu has opened on a decent note with a 30% occupancy rate.

 

On the whole, the new Bollywood releases will have to depend heavily on positive word of mouth, chances are that RAMAN RAGHAV 2.0 might take a slight lead over the others considering that the film has been promoted more vigorously. The business of INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE is expected to show an increase over the evening and night shows. Also last week's release UDTA PUNJAB has slowed down will have an added week's run at the box office.
