BO update: BANG BANG gets a thunderous start
After last week's multiple releases that failed to make a mark at the box office, all eyes have been set on today's releases BANG BANG and HAIDER. However, right from the onset, it was evidently clear that the Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer BANG BANG would emerge as a winner at the box office. While the Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer HAIDER will find it tough at the box office, despite its inherent appeal.

Coming to the Opening Day, reports from across the country state that BANG BANG has opened on thunderous note with an almost 90-100% occupancy rate. On the other hand, HAIDER has managed a measly 25-30% opening. While BANG BANG is expected to dominate the extended weekend, with the film being the entertainment starved audience's first choice, HAIDER will have to rely heavily on good word of mouth to post decent collections over evening and night shows.
