Brahmastra Box Office: Film beats The Kashmir Files; emerges as second highest third weekend grosser of 2022

The Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was released a while back to a thunderous response from the audience. Being one of the most keenly anticipated releases the film, which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy, came with immense hopes attached. Living up to the same, Brahmastra has been doing rather well at the box office. After crossing the Rs. 100 cr and Rs. 200 cr mark, it seems like Brahmastra has drawn much closer to the Rs. 250 cr mark.

Collecting Rs. 20.95 cr Brahmastra has managed to surpass The Kashmir Files, which collected Rs. 20.85 cr to emerge as the second highest third weekend grosser of 2022. Though RRR, which collected Rs. 23 cr, leads the list of highest third weekend grossers, Brahmastra has managed to out beat other releases as well, like K.G.F - Chapter 2, which collected Rs. 20.77 cr, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which collected Rs. 13.07 cr, Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 11.50 cr, Jugjugg Jeeyo which collected Rs. 4.77 cr, Major which collected Rs. 1.48 cr, Samrat Prithviraj which collected Rs. 1 cr, and Ek Villain Returns which collected Rs. 0.42 cr.

 

Going forward, Brahmastra is expected to continue to dominate the box office despite new releases hitting screens. In fact, with the reduced ticket prices trade estimates state that the business of the film will see further growth assisted further with the festivities of Navratri.
