Saif Sanju Starrer Parineeta' To Start

After MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S., Vinod Chopra Productions' next venture PARINEETA goes on floors with a start-to-finish 65-day shooting schedule in Darjeeling from October 30. Based on Saratchandra Chattopadhyay's literary classic of the same name, PARINEETA is being directed by Pradeep Sarkar, who has been associated with Vinod Chopra Productions since MISSION KASHMIR. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Raima Sen and introducing Vidya Balan. Vidhu Vinod Chopra himself has co-written the screenplay, this time with director Pradeep Sarkar. Nitin Chandrakant Desai is the consulting art director, while Rajkumar Hirani is the creative producer on the film. The schedule begins with a 5-day shoot in Darjeeling, which includes, among other locations, a shoot on the famed toy train of the hill station. Action then shifts to locations in and around Kolkata over the next 35 days. Following this, an indoor schedule has been planned in Mumbai, which will see the film through to completion. PARINEETA is scheduled for release on April 21, 2005.
