Saif Launches Purple Ribbon
Sanjay Leela Bhansali had approached entertainer no.1 Govinda to play a significant role in the Shahrukh-Madhuri-Aishwarya starrer Devdas. But Govinda turned it down because he did not want to play a character role. Earlier too, he had refused Subhash Ghai's offer in Taal since he did not feel getting slotted in a character role. This role went to Anil Kapoor. And now, in Devdas, the role has landed in Saif Khan's lap.
Saif signed on the dotted line just last week and will start the shooting in October. Five songs have been recorded under the baton of Ismail Darbar who had earlier recorded all the songs for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
Bharat Shah was ecstatic when he heard the numbers and has told IndiaFM that the music and the film have all the makings of a blockbuster.
