Ritesh Sidhwani confirms Salman Khan - Shah Rukh Khan clash on Eid 2016

Just a couple of days ago we had reported that next year, we would see a potential cash between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan with their films Sultan and Raees slated for release on Eid. After Yash Raj Films announced the release date of their next venture Sultan featuring Salman Khan as Eid 2016, Ritesh Sidhwani took to the social networking site Twitter to confirm the release date of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees.

Confirming the clash, Sidhwani posted, "Speculation on #Raees release date! It all ends this Eid. Chalo time for me to take a dip in the warm waters of #tenerife". However his tweet created confusion among the masses. But clearing the same, Ritesh soon posted, "My timeline tells me a lot of confusion on my last tweet about #Raees release date. Let me clarify... We had announced in February that we will be releasing our film on EID 2016 & we are on schedule to release it as planned #RaeesOnEid2016."

 

However, the interesting part Ritesh revealed is that the makers of Raees, have planned a special something for Shah Rukh fans this Eid saying, "And a little surprise for all #Raees fans this EID...chalo ho Gaya sab confusion clear".

 

As for the films, Sultan that is produced by Aditya Chopra featuring Salman Khan playing a wrestler and is written-directed by Ali Abbas Zafar while the SRK-starrer Raees, will see him romancing Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan, is an action-thriller, directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Gauri Khan.
