Maddock Films has unveiled the first look of ‘Jab Talak’, the opening song from Cocktail 2, offering a glimpse into the film’s vibrant and youthful world. Positioned as a breezy summer track, the song highlights themes of romance, friendship, and carefree holiday moments, setting the tone for the narrative.
‘Jab Talak’ is composed by Pritam, with vocals by Arijit Singh and Akasa, and lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film itself has been written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain. The track blends a relaxed, holiday vibe with emotional undertones, in line with the franchise’s established musical identity.
The visuals of the song, shot against scenic international locations, reflect a sun-soaked setting that complements its easygoing mood. The makers aim to recreate the charm associated with the original Cocktail, while presenting a more contemporary take on relationships and friendships.
Sharing his experience, Shahid Kapoor said, “‘Jab Talak’ is incredibly special to all of us, especially as it marks the first song from Cocktail 2. There was such a positive energy on set while shooting it—we truly had a great time together. Everything felt easy, warm, and effortless, and I believe that translates beautifully on screen. I’m confident audiences will connect with the honesty and joy that the song brings.”
Kriti Sanon shared, “The song carries such a beautiful, feel-good vibe. Shooting for it felt like living the perfect summer with friends—filled with laughter, music, and pure masti against the stunning backdrop of Sicily. I had an absolute blast filming with Shahid and Rashmika, and it was amazing to see even the international crew and dancers humming along and soaking in the energy of the song.”
Rashmika Mandanna shared, “For me, this track is about love, friendship and carefree holiday moments you want to hold on to forever. The song has the perfect breezy and happy vibe. To add to that, working with Shahid and Kriti was too much fun.”
