Girija Shankar's Banana Brothers:

Well-known character actor Girija Shankar has turned producer-director and he has just returned from the U.S. after completing his first film, titled BANANA BROTHERS. An English film with a few dialogues in Punjabi and Gujarati, Girija describes the film as a beautiful romantic, realistic and musical comedy. Starring Anupam Kher, Gursewak Maan, Seema Malhar, Mary L. Carter, Radha Saluja, Gulshan Grover and Johny Lever, the film has music by Jai Dev Kumar and Jagjit Singh. BANANA BROTHERS has been shot in Los Angeles and San Francisco (California) and is expected to hit the theatres in February/March 2003.
