Farhan Akhtar to star in Baba Azmi's maiden directorial venture

Farhan Akhtar surely has an interesting 2011 to look forward to. First up he has sister Zoya's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which is set for a May release and then he has his own directorial venture Don 2 which is easily one of the most anticipated films of this year. Besides these two projects, Farhan would also be seen in Baba Azmi's maiden directorial venture.

 

Baba Azmi (brother of Shabana Azmi) is one of the most well-known cinematographers in the industry and is now all set to make his directorial debut this year. His debut project will be a love story starring Farhan Akhtar in the lead. The actress opposite Farhan is still not finalised. Baba, meanwhile, has handed over the cinematography task for this film to Ayananka Bose as he wants to completely focus on direction.

The film will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment and goes on floors in July this year.
