Crowd mob GADAR shoot in Amritsar:
After Fire & Water, there's one more controversy boiling. Gadar which stars Amisha Patel & Sunny Deol which is based on the partition era has not found favor with locals in Lucknow and Amritsar.
First it was the Lucknow residents who took to opposing the movie since they did not like the Muslim theme being included in the same. Then the shooting was disrupted recently at the Amritsar Railway Station by the huge crowd that gathered there on the first day of the shoot.
The slogan chanting mob turned violent and resorted to stone throwing. Amisha was very lucky and escaped being hurt. The police intervened and had to resort to lathi-charge. Though the Amritsar station which was imparted a special prepartition look was not damaged, the special steam engine of the Delhi Railway Museum suffered light damages.
The shooting is now going on peacefully with strong police force around.
