Ban in Nepal

Bollywood has lost a major money-spinning market - Nepal! And Nepal has lost the masti of Bollywood films since the release of Masti. This is in response to the threat spread around the country by the Maoist party which warns people against watching Hindi films in Nepali theatres, doing so will lead to dreadful consequences like assaults and bomb attacks. The reason for the threat is the arrest of a Maoist leader by the Indian police. More than 300 theatres in Nepal have shut down as a result of this threat, which will result into a loss of Rs 20 - 30 lakh per film to the producers. Also the Nepal Motion Picture Association is facing heavy losses.
