Reflecting on the profound impact of the role, Gupta described the experience as a deeply personal and transformative journey that has fundamentally changed him.
In an emotional and introspective post, the actor opened up about the immense responsibility of portraying a divine figure embedded so deeply in people's faith. To ensure his performance remained pure and authentic, Gupta consciously avoided watching previous on-screen depictions of Krishna. Instead, he immersed himself in intense research, reading sacred texts like the Shrimad Bhagwat Puran and the Bhagavad Gita over several months to discover the essence of the character from within.
Expressing his heartfelt thanks to the audience and the production team, Gupta stated that seeing the viewers embrace his performance with such faith and purity feels like the biggest blessing of his life.

He added, “From day one, I wanted my process to be honest and pure. I made a conscious decision to not watch any previous portrayals because I didn’t want to carry someone else’s interpretation. I wanted to discover Krishna through my own journey of understanding. For months, my world became reading, learning, and unlearning. I immersed myself in the Shrimad Bhagwat Puran, the Bhagavad Gita, spiritual texts, teachings, and discourses. I kept asking myself who Krishna truly was beyond what we see and hear. I tried to understand his stillness, his wisdom, his compassion, his detachment, his strength. I tried to find his voice, his eyes, even his breathing.”
The post continued, “The person who was offered this role two years ago is not the same person writing this today. This journey has shaped me, grounded me, and taught me more than I can explain.
