Rapper-singer Badshah has praised the Dhurandhar franchise, calling both installments bold cinematic statements and a sign of change in Indian filmmaking. His reaction comes weeks after the release of Dhurandhar The Revenge on March 19, which has gone on to break multiple box office records and strengthen the franchise’s position as one of the biggest recent theatrical successes.
Taking to his Instagram Story, Badshah shared his appreciation for the scale and ambition of the films. He wrote: “They said, ‘You are not ready for this,’ and boy were they right. Dhurandhar 1 & 2 aren't just films; they're a statement. A bold reminder that Indian cinema is stepping into a new era. Fearless, experimental, and unapologetically original.”

Badshah further highlighted how the films stood out for their style and music, noting how both elements strengthened each other. He wrote: “You don't watch Dhurandhar; you experience it. And once you do, there's no going back to ordinary cinema. Music has elevated the film; film elevated the music. This is no nonsense. This is pure style. Lost count of the number of times I've seen the film or the scenes. Damn. This is what the future looks like.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the Dhurandhar films have been widely discussed for their scale, treatment and storytelling ambition. The sequel’s theatrical performance has further pushed the franchise into the spotlight, with strong box office numbers and continued social media conversation around its cinematic style and music.
