Actor Danish Pandor, known for his work across films and web series and for portraying Uzair Baloch in Dhurandhar franchise, has shared fresh insights into working with Akshaye Khanna, offering a perspective that contrasts with industry perceptions about the latter’s reserved nature.
In an interview with News18, Pandor said his experience with Khanna was far removed from the warnings often heard in film circles. “He treats you very nicely. He's very receptive as a person. It’s true that he doesn’t speak much, but if you ask him anything, he’s very responsive. He’s an amazing human being. But yes, he lives in a zone when he’s on the film set. He always concentrated on his character,” Pandor said.
Highlighting Khanna’s work ethic, Pandor pointed out one of the more striking habits that sets him apart. “He doesn't even sit with his phone on a set. He sits in a tight corner, not speaking to anyone unless spoken to. He's an amazing soul. He sits quietly, keeps to himself, and thinks about his performance,” he revealed.
Pandor also shed light on how Khanna deals with success and public perception. According to him, the actor remains grounded despite being aware of his presence in public discourse. “He keeps himself grounded and moves on easily. But he knows everything that goes around on social media. Having said that, I don't think he's one of those people who would actively go to social media,” he added.
The comments not only underline Khanna’s focused and introspective approach to acting but also reflect Pandor’s own experience as a performer working closely alongside him on the film.
