It’s an exciting time for Indian television viewers at present. Two major superstars are currently rocking on television with their respective television shows. While Salman Khan’s anchor act on ‘Bigg Boss’ is the taste of the season like it happens always from October to January, Akshay Kumar is also impressing with his role of the judge on ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. And now, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to enter the arena with the social TV show ‘TED Talks India – Nayi Soch’. The makers haven’t revealed when the show will be out but it’s expected to be aired in a month or two. That surely would be like an icing on the cake for viewers who are already getting a lot of starry vibes thanks to ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’.
At the launch and press conference of ‘TED Talks India – Nayi Soch’, Shah Rukh Khan was asked whether there would be a competition for between him and the other two superstars. Salman Khan was asked a similar question at the press conference of ‘Bigg Boss 11’ and in a lighter vein, he had replied, “It will be a tough competition for you guys”. Shah Rukh responded to Salman’s quote and made some interesting points. He said, “To be very honest, Salman and Akshay are in a league of their own. I am not even competing with them right now. They are doing wonderfully well. It’s very sweet of Salman to say what he said. Having said that, I am not going to say that this show is so different and that we are not competing on the platform. No way do I want to be derisive of entertainment that they will provide on television through the respective shows that they are doing. But TED Talks really is kind of a different platform and has a different sensibility. It is different from Salman’s Bigg Boss and Akshay’s The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. It does not make it better or worse. It’s just different.”
