Earlier this year, Aditi Rao Hydari was seen as Alauddin Khilji’s beautiful wife, Begum Mehrunissa in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat. She garnered accolades for the portrayal of the demure but resilient Begum to the menacing Khilji. Her role saw her flit from those intricately crafted ensembles one after another and her look was further elevated by a befitting immaculate makeup and vintage accessories. We have no qualms in appreciating how Aditi infuses life into ethnic ensembles like nobody else does! A testimony to this are the numerous times the diva has played muse to some of the most exquisite creations by feted Indian designers. This time, she donned an exquisite creation by ace designer Abhinav Mishra for his store launch, Phiroza By Abhinav Mishra in Delhi. What made it special was Aditi looking nothing less than radiant in a white and pink ensemble that Abhinav Mishra had named ‘Mehrunissa’ after her iconic role.
The store, PHIROZA is a unique amalgamation of heritage and contemporary fashion, reflecting Abhinav Mishra’s mission to create clothes for the young globally inclined Indian women, who are in tune with the international sensibilities of fashion and style while being honest to their own ethnic aesthetic. Here is a closer look at Aditi’s ethereal avatar.
