Not too long ago, fans of Akshay Kumar were thrilled to see the actor exploring the world of South cinema as he has ventured into multiple South films in Kannada and Tamil languages. Now making his debut with Telugu cinema, Akshay Kumar will be seen in a special role in the upcoming fantasy drama Kannappa, albeit in a cameo. While the actor visiting the leading man of the film Vishnu Manchu on the sets of the entertainer became viral on social media, adding to the anticipation, the latter released a glimpse of Akki’s look on the occasion of his birthday.

Furthermore, several updates on the actor’s latest projects including a new collaboration with Priyadarshan were announced on this special occasion. Among them was also a poster release of the pan India entertainer Kannappa which was posted by Vishnu Manchu on the social media platform X, aka Twitter which was a poster representing Lord Shiva. The poster featured an arm with Rudraksh beads and it read, “Though Lord Shiva reigns supreme over all realms, he humbly surrenders to the devotion of his warrior”. Meanwhile the actor also wished Akki on his special day and added, “Happy Birthday to the one and only Mr. Akshay Kumar! Best wishes on your special day!”

Speaking about Kannappa, the film also boasts an extensive technical crew which includes cinematographer Sheldon Chau, editor Anthony Gonsalvez, and the stunts are choreographed by none other than the famous Kecha Khamphakdee. With music composed by Stephen Devassy, the film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film is also expected to feature cameos from popular celebrities like Mohanlal and Nayanthara. Based on the legend of Kannappa, a devote of Lord Shiva, the film is expected to release in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi along with Telugu.
