Tamil actor and politician Thalapathy Vijay, known for his philanthropic endeavours, is set to honour the top scorers of class 10 and 12 examinations in Tamil Nadu. The felicitation ceremonies will be held across two events in Chennai's Thiruvanmiyur on June 28 and July 3, 2024.
This initiative by Vijay's political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), highlights his commitment to supporting education and recognizing academic excellence. The first event on June 28 will celebrate the achievements of students from Ariyalur, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Kanniyakumari, Karur, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Pudukottai, Ramanathapuram, Salem, Sivagangai, Tenkasi, Theni, Thuthukudi, Thirunelveli, Thiruppur, and Virudhunagar districts.
The details for the second event, which will cover the remaining districts, are expected to be announced soon. At the ceremonies, Vijay will personally present certificates and acknowledge the students' accomplishments in front of their proud parents.
On the work front, Vijay's upcoming project, titled The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), is a high-octane action film, slated for a theatrical release on September 5, 2024, promises a double dose of Vijay as he reportedly takes on dual roles – both hero and villain. The film boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Laila, Mohan, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj.
