In a heartwarming tribute to her Tamil film debut, actor Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram to mark the 22^nd anniversary of the release of Thamizhan starring Talapathy Vijay, The movie, which hit screens in 2002, holds a special place in Chopra's heart as it kickstarted her illustrious acting journey.

Accompanying her post was an unseen snapshot from the past, capturing a nostalgic moment shared on set with her co-star Thalapathy Vijay, composer D Imman, and other members of the team. Reflecting on her experience working alongside Vijay, Chopra revealed the challenges she faced due to her unfamiliarity with the Tamil language.

In a candid interview with Vanity Fair a couple of years ago, Chopra reminisced about Vijay's remarkable humility on set, highlighting his unwavering commitment to his craft. She said, “I remember Tamizhan, which was really difficult for me as I did not know Tamil as a language. I was learning it phonetically, memorising it, understanding the meaning behind it, and then saying my lines. But, I loved watching my co-actor Vijay – he was one of the first few influences in my life. He had tremendous humility on set. Once he comes onto the set, he never leaves the set.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka Chopra has an array of projects in the pipeline – Ending Things with Anthony Mackie, Heads of State with John Cena and Idris Elba and The Bluff with The Boys actor Karl Urban.
