Reports surrounding the personal life of Tamil superstar Vijay, popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay, have begun circulating widely, with claims suggesting that he and his wife Sangeetha may be heading for a divorce. While there has been no official confirmation from the actor or his family, multiple media outlets have reported that a case has been filed at the Chengalpattu Family Welfare Court.
The developments come at a time when Vijay is already navigating professional turbulence. His much-anticipated film Jana Nayagan, which was scheduled for a theatrical release in January this year, has been caught in a controversy involving the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The project had generated significant attention as it was expected to mark his farewell to Indian cinema before formally transitioning into active politics.
According to reports, Vijay has maintained silence regarding both the film-related issues and the speculation about his personal life. However, rumours circulating in sections of the media suggest that Sangeetha has allegedly accused the actor of being involved in an adulterous relationship with a co-actress.
