Indian cinema is getting back on its feet. Many projects were delayed amid the pandemic. Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's RRR is an eagerly awaited project. The film was supposed to open in theatres in October. As the filming got delayed amid the pandemic, the release got pushed. Bollywood Hungama reported that the makers were eyeing January 7, 2022, as the release date. Now, the makers have confirmed the date.
On Saturday, October 2, Jr. NTR tweeted, "Get ready to experience India’s Biggest Action Drama in cinemas worldwide. #RRRMovie #RRROnJan7th." Ram Charan tweeted the same along with the new poster featuring him, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

The film has an ensemble cast from multiple industries and boasts of names like NTR Jr. Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt. Produced by DVV Danayya, RRR is directed by India's most celebrated filmmaker SS Rajamouli.
