Not too long ago, Rashmika Mandanna had expressed her excitement to be a part of the upcoming Nithiin film, directed by Venky Kudumula. However, recent reports have it that the actress couldn’t pursue the film since she is overpacked with her projects. And now, we hear that Rashmika has decided to opt out of it, paving way for Sreeleela to take over. Sreeleela, who has an interesting lineup of projects in hand including the Mahesh Babu starrer Guntur Kaaram, might be replacing Mandanna in this upcoming entertainer.
Readers would recall that earlier this year, Sreeleela also replaced Pooja Hegde in Guntur Kaaram, co-starring Mahesh Babu, which was earlier titled SSMB28. A source close to the actress opened up about the ongoing reports saying, “Pooja (Hegde) who shared a very strong bond with Trivikram, left fans shocked when she opted out of his film. However, Sreeleela became the perfect choice to step into Pooja’s shoes. Even with Venky and Rashmika, something similar has happened. Venky who considers Rashmika as her lucky charm seems to be turning his attention towards Sreeleela. Yes, reports state that replacing Rashmika is being considered and Sreeleela might take that spot. Well, after several stellar performances she has delivered, she is truly paving her way to stardom”.
Talking about Sreeleela’s upcoming projects, between 2023-2024, Sreeleela will be starring in Vaishnav Tej starrer Aadikeshava, Ram Pothineni starrer Skanda, Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Bhagvanth Kesari, Nithin32, Guntur Kaaram, Vijay Deverakonda’s VD12, and Pawan Kalyan starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
On the other hand, talking about Rashmika Mandanna, the actress recently wrapped up her female centric drama Rainbow, which also features Dev Mohan in a pivotal role. The actress also has the Bollywood biggie Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor as well as the much-awaited Pushpa 2 aka Pushpa - The Rule, co-starring Allu Arjun in the pipeline. The actress is also expected to have bagged an Anees Bazmee film, co-starring Shahid Kapoor.
