Recently, when Soundarya Rajinikanth tied the knot with Vishagan Vanangamudi, Rajinikanth was ecstatic and was seen greeting the guests warmly. In a recent post, Soundarya got emotional about her father and how he had fallen ill in 2011 and posted about it on Twitter. Fans of the megastar may remember the incident clearly as many were praying for his recovery.

Some may recall that Rajinikanth had flown to Singapore in 2011 for a treatment owing to some major health issues and the industry was in shock to receive the news. They all prayed for his well-being and the actor returned hail-and-hearty post his treatment. Reminiscing about those days, Soundarya Rajinikanth revealed that the actor returned to his hometown Chennai on July 13. She posted this video saying, “A day we will forever remember, the day we returned with Appa to Chennai after his medical treatment in singapore #13.7.11 8 years ago. You are truly gods child Appa. To all those hearts who prayed and continue to pray for my father and my family THANK YOU.”

On the work front, Rajinikanth was last seen in the much successful Petta. Let us tell you that the actor also suffered some health issues during the shoot of 2.0 but he soon recovered from the same.

Coming to his forthcoming films, the actor is collaborating with A R Murugadoss for the first time for the film Darbar. The actor will be seen in the role of a cop and some portions of the film were also shot in Mumbai. Starring Nayanthara, Suniel Shetty amongst others, the film is expected to hit the theatres during Pongal 2020.
