While we haven’t seen Kamal Haasan and Shruti Haasan collaborating for a film, it seems that the father-daughter duo is expected to come together for a music project. And since the announcement, fans are eagerly waiting for more details around the project. Shruti Haasan recently hosted an 'Ask me Question' session where one of her fans questioned her about any update on the project with her father.

Although she didn’t divulge details, Shruti Haasan did talk about the project saying, "It's a musical project and we are going to announce it very soon on what it is!! I am really excited." Previously, at an event in Dubai when Shruti presented an award to Kamal Haasan for Best Singer, the legendary actor on stage gave us a hint about this project and mentioned that Raaj Kamal Film International and Shruti Haasan are working on new musical project. Since then, the anticipation around the project has been at its peak.

Apart from her acting, Shruti Haasan has also dabbled with singing since the actress has always maintained about how passionate she has been with music. She had previously released two independent singles – ‘Edge’ and ‘She Is A Hero’ which received great admiration from fans. Now, we hear that the actress is planning to release her third single soon.

Talking about her films, Shruti Haasan will be seen playing the leading lady in the much-awaited Salaar. The action entertainer is directed by Prashanth Neel and features Prabhas as the leading man with Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist. The film is also expected to be mounted on a massive budget and is supposed to feature international high-octane stunts. Set against the backdrop of international mafia, Salaar is slated for release during Diwali this year.
