“Salaar is a story of two friends who become enemies,” reveals Prashanth Neel : Bollywood News

Filmmaker Prashanth Neel more than managed to get heads turned with KGF: Chapter 1 (2018), which starred Yash in the titular role. With KGF: Chapter 2, he achieved history at the box office, not just in south but all over India. So, obviously, there is keen excitement for his next in the form of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which stars Prabhas in the lead.

The promotional material of the movie has further increased the anticipation. And now, Prashanth Neel has revealed the basic storyline of the massy action film. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the filmmaker, while revealing the plot of the movie, said, “It’s the story of two friends, who become enemies.”

While speaking about Prabhas, he said, “Prabhas sir can show innocence like nobody else. But at the same time, he can also show you the aggression. I was sold on this aspect and have explored this quality in Salaar too. His personality perfectly suits for Salaar. He is a giant, who is very gentle.” The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu.

The makers of Salaar are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the film reaches international standards in terms of action. Throwing light on the preparations, a source recently told Bollywood Hungama, “Over 750 different vehicles including jeeps, tanks, trucks, etc were procured for the shoot of Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire as there is a lot of on-ground action in the movie. It was as big as any big war sequence of any Hollywood movie.”

Produced by Hombale Films, Salaar is all set to release on December 22. It will be clashing with Rajkumar Hirani’s Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki in the same week.
