Salaar: SS Rajamouli reveals Shruti Haasan has no dance number in the film; says, “I was disappointed” to Prashanth Neel : Bollywood News

Ahead of the release of the highly-anticipated Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire, the filmmaker Prashanth Neel and the lead male cast Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran are seen extensively promoting it. In fact, the trio had a fun interaction with the blockbuster Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli wherein they were seen discussing about this upcoming high-octane fantasy action entertainer. During the same, Rajamouli was all praises for the dancing skills of leading lady of the film, Shruti Haasan and expressed his disappointment, revealing that the actress will not be doing any such number in the upcoming film.

Confessing that he is a huge fan of her dance, SS Rajamouli revealed that he has even rewatched some of her dance numbers on his phone and TV on loop because of her amazing performance. Being such an ardent fan of her dance moves, when Rajamouli found that their film Salaar will not feature a dance number, starring Shruti, he was quite upset. Complaining about the same, Rajamouli said, “One of the complaints that I have with Salaar is that… two songs I watch on my phone or TV are her party song from Race Gurram (2014) and ‘Charusheela’ from Srimanthudu (2015). I just love her dancing. Out in the corridor, you were saying that there are no duets in Salaar. You disappointed me (laughs). Jokes apart, people will be expecting something as the two are in the film.”

Prashanth Neel replied, “We initially thought of putting something like a mass number or a duet. But we got sucked into the drama of the film so much that we never used Shruti for glamour. She is very much a part of the story and plays a strong role.”

Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire, also starring Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Shreya Reddy, Tinnu Anand, among others, is slated for release on December 22 in multiple languages including Hindi.
