S.S. Rajamouli has been in the USA for a long time as the filmmaker is taking in all the love and appreciation that is being showered on his film RRR. After winning the Best Director award at the New York Film Critics Circle, the film went on to win the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for its song ‘Naatu Naatu’. Amidst many of his dreams becoming a reality in the US, the filmmaker was thrilled with making yet another iconic memory – meeting the filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

Being an inspiration to not just American filmmakers but also many Indian filmmakers, S.S. Rajamouli couldn’t be happier about meeting his idol. He has always spoken about his love for filmmakers like Spielberg and when he met him, he couldn’t help but turn fanboy and even took to social media to share a couple of photos from their interaction. In the photos, Rajamouli along with the Golden Globe award winner M.M. Keeravani, were seen posing with Steven Spielberg and the filmmaker even captioned his post saying, “I just met GOD!!!”

Readers may be aware that Steven Spielberg is known for many of his iconic films which went on to become cults which included, Jaws, The Indiana Jones series, E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, Lincoln, among others and the recent The Fabelmans. On the other hand, S.S. Rajamouli film RRR, which has been riding high on international acclaim, has even been shortlisted for the nominations in the upcoming Oscars.

Talking about RRR, the film is set against the backdrop of pre Independence era with Ram Charan and Junior NTR essaying the lead roles. The film also features Shriya Saran, Alison Doody, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn in small but pivotal roles and it released in India in March 2022 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Followed by its massive buzz, it also released in Japan in the second half of 2022.
