Devi Sri Prasad, fondly known as Rockstar DSP after he earned immense fame for the music he composed for the Pan India blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, has maintained that his inspiration for music is none other than the maestro Ilaiyaraaja. He shared a fan moment of sorts when the maestro paid a visit to his studio recently and took to social media to share about the experience. Not only did he post photos but also penned a long and emotional note describing his meeting.
Taking to Instagram, Devi Sri Prasad shared photos of his best moments with Ilaiyaraaja in the studio. In fact, he also shared how he has a big wall length photo of the legendary music composer in his studio. DSP penned a long note which read, “My LIFETIME DREAM COMES TRUE”. He continued, “As a little Kid, even before I knew what MUSIC was all about, this MAESTRO ISAIGNANI ILAYARAJA SIR’s MUSIC cast a MAGICAL SPELL on me.. I grew up with his Music always around me, even when I was studying for my Exams. So inseperable I was , Iam and I wil be, from his Music.. Which instilled in me the Strongest Desire and Determination to become a MUSIC COMPOSER..”
He further shared, “As I became a Music Composer, and when I built my STUDIO, I installed a HUGE PICTURE of ILAYARAJA SIR.. and my BIGGEST & a LIFETIME DREAM was that ILAYARAJA SIR should visit my STUDIO one day.. and I should take a Photo with him standing next to the PICTURE of His. And as the UNIVERSE always conspires to make our most Genuine Desires & Love come True, Finally this DREAM of mine came TRUE.. Especially on the Birthday of My GURU. Sri Mandolin U Shrinivas Anna..???? What more can I ask for..”
“It was one of the Most Emotional moments of my LIFE.. Thank You my Dearest GOD of MUSIC, Isaignani ILAYARAJA SIR, For bringing ur Divine Presence into my STUDIO and Blessing ME & my TEAM.. Thank You for always Inspiring & Teaching Us Sir Love U for Eternity Dearest RAJA SIR”, he concluded.
He also expressed gratitude towards everyone who were instrumental in shaping up his professional journey as he signed off by saying, “And on this occasion, I would love to Thank Each and Everyone.. The Directors, Producers, Actors & Music Labels who gave me opprtunities to shine , My Family , Friends & Team who always stood by me, and all the People who love my Music and put me on this High Pedestal always showering Enormous Love on ME and my MUSIC”
