Fans have long admired Rashmika and Vijay Deverakonda’s on-screen chemistry in films like Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019), often speculating about a real-life romance. The stars consistently denied such rumours. However, excitement grew recently when reports suggested their engagement, which was later confirmed by Vijay’s team. According to reports, the couple is now set to marry in February next year.

During her promotional interviews for The Girlfriend, Rashmika reflected on her thoughts about becoming a mother. Speaking with Gulte, she shared, “I’m not even a mother yet, but I already feel… I know I’m going to have kids, and I love that that’s going to happen. I already feel something so strongly for these little humans who aren’t even born yet. I want to do everything for them. I want to keep them safe and protected. And if I ever need to go to war for them, I want to be strong and ready for it. I’m already thinking about that.”

Rashmika also discussed her long-term plans regarding work and personal life, saying, “I always had in mind that twenty to thirty is the time to focus on work because that’s what society often expects—we need to earn a living and become financially independent. From thirty to forty, I imagined it would be about balancing work and life, and I want to ensure that happens. As for forty onwards, I haven’t thought that far yet.”

With her busy schedule of film promotions and upcoming projects, Rashmika seems focused on her career while already envisioning her future as a mother and life partner.
