The makers of Rao Bahadur have officially announced the film’s grand worldwide release date. Presented by Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar’s GMB Entertainment, the highly anticipated psychological thriller is set to release in cinemas globally on July 3, 2026.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Venkatesh Maha, Rao Bahadur has steadily emerged as one of the most talked-about upcoming projects in Indian cinema. Ever since its announcement, the film has generated strong curiosity among audiences due to its unusual theme, haunting visuals, and intriguing storytelling style.
The recently released teaser further amplified excitement around the project. Featuring Satya Dev in a remarkable transformation, the teaser introduced viewers to a mysterious world where doubt itself becomes the central force of fear and destruction. Venkatesh Maha is known for critically acclaimed films such as C/o Kancharapalem and Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, both of which earned praise for their grounded storytelling and emotional depth. With Rao Bahadur, the filmmaker appears to be stepping into a darker and more psychological space.
The film is being produced by A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments. Notably, A+S Movies had previously collaborated with GMB Entertainment on Major, while SriChakraas Entertainments backed the critically appreciated KA.
