Ram Charan recalls shooting for Dhruva in Kashmir; says, “I have shot in this auditorium in 2016 and I sat in that chair” : Bollywood News

Ram Charan, who recently received a lot of international acclaim for his film RRR and the Oscar winning Indian song ‘Naatu Naatu’, recently was in Srinagar to attend the G20 Summit as an esteemed representative of the Indian Film Industry to discuss the subject, Film Tourism for Economic Growth and Cultural Preservation. During the summit, not only did Ram highlight India's potential to become one of the world's leading filming destinations but he also gushed his love for Kashmir along with his memories associated with shooting in the picturesque valley.

During the G20 Summit, Ram Charan revealed that he has several memories associated with Kashmir. He not only opened about his father shooting in the valley but also discussed about shooting for his film Dhruva way back in 2016. He said, “My dad has extensively shot in Gulmarg, Sonmarg, all these beautiful areas I used to come to as child. It used to be something if I was invited by my dad to Kashmir. It used to be like I had achieved something that summer, during the summer holiday it was like an achievement.”

He continued, “You will not believe I have shot in this auditorium in 2016 for a movie called Dhruva and it is a very beautiful auditorium in Kashmir. I sat in that chair and this place has something magically that draws the attention of the people. And no matter what we hear about Kashmir or whatever, this is such a good feeling when we come here. It’s been 95 years of the film industry and it will take another 95 years to explore the entire Kashmir.

Further discussing the subject of Film Tourism, Ram Charan added, "I am truly grateful for the opportunity to showcase the richness of our rooted culture and mysticism through my films. Indian Cinema possesses a unique beauty in its ability to impart valuable life lessons through highly relatable content."
