Jailer 2 is going to be something that Rajinikanth’s fans have not seen before. The action sequences are being harnessed to cater to a younger audience.
“The FX-generated flips and somersaults, landing on 10 goons from outer space, is no longer the need of the hour. The audience wants the action to be more real. Rajini sir is doing just that,” a source close to the project informed.
Apparently, Rajinikanth is re-shooting some of the action.
“He is taking more risks with the stunts this time than ever before. But the producers are ensuring his safety. The body double is there. But he is being used much less this time,” said the source.
Interestingly, there is a whole action block in the plot featuring Rajinikanth with Shah Rukh Khan which will be the highlight of the venture.
Jailer 2 is a highly anticipated Tamil-language action film scheduled for release on June 12. But the release date may be pushed forward to accommodate the amplified action. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the sequel to the 2023 hit stars Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ramya Krishnan.
