Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital on September 30 after a few health complaints which led to the megastar opt for an elective procedure on October 1. The news left many fans and industry insiders concerned. While the megastar’s wife Latha assured everyone that there is nothing to worry, recent reports suggest that India’s Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally contacted her to enquire about the health of Rajinikanth.
The incident was shared by BJP member K Annamalai on social media wherein he mentioned about PM Modi decided to showcase his support towards Rajinikanth and his family. Taking to the social media platform X, aka Twitter, Annamalai wrote, “Our Hon. PM Thiru @narendramodi avl spoke telephonically to Smt. Latha Rajinikanth avl today to inquire about the health of our Super Star Thiru @rajinikanth avl. Hon PM was informed about the well-being of Thiru Rajinikanth avl post-surgery & Hon PM wished him a speedy recovery.”

Meanwhile, a statement has also been issued by the Apollo hospital group regarding the actor’s health and speaking about the procedure he underwent. “Our superstar's heart is as strong as his spirit! Rajinikanth is recovering well after a heart procedure and will be home soon!” This came in response to the ‘Medical Bulletin’ from the hospital which was shared by ANI on the platform that read, “Mr. Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road, on 30th September 2024. He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (Aorta), which was treated by a non surgical, transcatheter method. Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish placed a stent in the aorta completely sealing off the swelling (Endovascular Repair). We would like to let his well-wishers and fans know that the procedure went, as planned. Mr. Rajinikanth is stable and is doing well. He should be home in two days.”

Apart from this, many actors and politicians like MK Stalin and Thalapathy Vijay also shared their concerns on the platform and showcased their love and support for the ‘Superstar’. Coming to the work commitments, Rajinikanth will next be seen in Vettaiyan featuring an ensemble cast that will release on October 11. The actor is also working on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie.
