The teaser launch of The RajaSaab was held at Hyderabad's Prasads Multiplex's sprawling PCX screen in the presence of producers T G Vishwa Prasad, Krithi Prasad and SKN, production designer Rajeevan and cinematographer Karthik Palani along with hundreds of fans.
T G Vishwa Prasad revealed that “Prabhas got convinced in 10 minutes to do the film.” He also noted, “When we have the largest icon like Prabhas Garu, we need someone strong opposite him. We got the best match in Sanjay Dutt.”
Maruthi explained the primary reason to make the horror comedy saying, “I want to prove that we can make a Walt Disney kind of a film in India.”
He also said that fans would get to see vintage Prabhas in this flick. He said, “Before, he used to do only comedy films. He has a different timing in comedy. I want to show that comedy to the Pan-India audience. I am telling you, they’ll enjoy a lot!”
Maruthi continued, “He's purely a director’s actor. Whatever a director wants, he'll perform accordingly. He'll get into the character.”
He further stated that he started the horror comedy genre in Telugu cinema saying, “In 2013, I made Prema Katha Chitram. I invented horror comedy genre here in small budget. I never touched that genre since. But due to that film, Prabhas trusted me.”
The RajaSaab releases in cinemas on December 5.
