A few months ago, Pan India star and filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran took to social media to share an important health update with his millions of fans. The actor shared the news of undergoing an extensive knee injury after a mishap on the sets of his upcoming release Vilayath Buddha, followed by which he also posted a detailed account of his recovery journey. All geared up to return to work after a three-month-long hiatus, the actor, in his recent post expressed gratitude towards everyone who helped him in this phase.
For the unversed, the actor had injured himself while filming an action sequence for the film. Opening up about his recovery journey and thanking his medical practitioners, Prithviraj Sukumaran took to social media to pen a note and wrote, “THANK YOU! It’s been 3 months since I jumped off a moving bus for an action sequence in ‘VILAYATH BUDDHA’ and injured my knee. Went in for a fairly complex knee surgery following that and ever since, life has mostly been about recovery.” In the post, Prithviraj also shared photos of all the doctors and physiotherapists who helped him recover along with a thank you note wherein he also explained about how each of them helped him.
He went on to add, “During the initial weeks of my recovery, the physiotherapy and other rehab procedures cumulatively went on for 9 hours a day..every day! Complete and full recovery is still a while away and I will have to continue to stick to my physiotherapy and rehabilitation plan. But to get to where I am in 3 months took a lot of skill and dedication from this team. So THANK YOU for the commitment and truly inspiring passion towards your professions!” He concluded it on the note, “Last but never the least..THANK YOU to each one of you who reached out in various ways with your wishes and prayers. I’m grateful, and deeply humbled by the care and concern! Time to get back to work..and as always..I’m going to give my 100% and then some! Exciting updates coming your way..starting tomorrow!”

On the work front, Prithviraj Sukumaran is also gearing up for one of the most anticipated releases of the year, Salaar which also co-stars Prabhas and Shruti Haasan. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film is slated for release on December 22.
