Hailed as a South superstar, Man of Masses Jr NTR has delivered many blockbusters in his career, however, the actor shares a special association with his RRR director and acclaimed filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli. The duo’s team, who earned heaps of praise for their magnum opus, at the 95th Academy Awards this year go way back in time, sharing a close fellowship. Twenty-two years ago, Jr NTR and S. S. Rajamouli collaborated for the first time for the coming-of-age romantic action film Student No: 1 which received a lot of love from audiences and fans of the star.
Interestingly, the film was also one of Jr NTR’s first big career hit which makes it all the more special for the actor and his fans all across. As the film clocks 22 years, throwback pictures from the sets of the film have circulated over the Internet and fans can’t stop gushing about their team.
Student No: 1 follows the life of Aditya who enrols in law school at his father’s urging, while wanting to become an engineer. The story traces Aditya’s self-discovery journey and how he earns his father’s heart despite facing many difficulties. Co-starring Gajala, the film also marked the directorial debut of S. S. Rajamouli in a feature film.

On the other hand, Jr NTR is currently shooting for his highly anticipated next Devara with Director Koratala Siva which is slated to release Pan India on 5th April 2024. Whereas, S.S. Rajamouli is expected to have kicked off work with Mahesh Babu for their highly awaited Pan World entertainer, which is yet to be titled. The film is expected to be inspired by Ramayana and is an adventure drama set against the backdrop of a jungle.
