Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next project is the eerie supernatural thriller Spirit, after which he will quickly move to the sequel to Animal. Spirit will therefore be shot in a start-to-finish schedule and completed within six months.
This information came to this writer from one of the actors in Spirit, who doesn’t want his name revealed until the director chooses to do so.
This source also revealed that Prabhas will look “radically different” in Spirit.
“He will be losing a lot of weight to look younger. He will also be sporting a new hairstyle and will be wearing clothes that he has never worn before. This role will take him far beyond his comfort zone. It will also be the first film to take Prabhas in a dark supernatural zone,” said the source.
This would be Prabhas’ 25th film and therefore very special. Apparently Spirit is a supernatural thriller on the lines of Manoj Night Shyamalan’s cinema.
Significantly all of Vanga’s films so far—Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, Animal, Spirit—station themselves in the dark zone. One hopes to see Vanga make something light-hearted in the future.
