Pooja Hegde is currently in Chennai for the shoot of her highly anticipated film Suriya 44. The actress has often shared her excitement about collaborating with the superstar and is expected to be having a gala time with the team of the film. It seems that adding to her happiness the actress enjoyed a ‘soulful meal’ recently and opened up about the same on her social media platform.

Going by her recent post, it seems that Pooja Hegde is quite a fan of the South Indian cuisine. The actress took to her Instagram story to share a picture of a traditional thali where a scrumptious spread of delicacies was neatly arranged on a banana leaf. She went on to caption it saying, “Food that goes straight to my soul.” While the vibrant thali was filled with an array of authentic South Indian dishes, sources close to the actress revealed that it perfectly mirrored the actress’ deep connection with her roots and her appreciation for simple pleasures amid a busy schedule.

In Suriya 44, Pooja is set to star opposite the Tamil megastar Suriya. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film is yet to be titled and boasts of an extensive technical crew which includes cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna and film editor Shafique Mohamed Ali. With music composed by Santosh Narayanan and produced by Stone Bench Films and 2D Entertainment, the film will also feature an ensemble cast of Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, Sujith Shankar, among others.

Adding to her exciting lineup, Pooja Hegde also has the action thriller Deva in the pipeline, where she is paired with Shahid Kapoor. The film, directed by Rosshan Andrrews is being produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films and it will be released on February 14, 2025.
